Harmony headed down to Nevada today to compete in their Annual Nevada Show Choir Classic.
We have been working on a few changes, flipping the show order, and polishing spots. The work paid off, we took first place in our division!
We are headed to Kansas City next weekend and then Webb City to round out season.

Girls will play Saturday at 2:30 vs. Santa Fe. All district games will be played at Smithton High School.
Boys will play Monday night at 7:30 vs. Sacred Heart.

Green Ridge boys basketball lost to Lincoln last night 69-36. Kamryn Hoos les the way with 12 points, and Weston Crawford chipped in 7.
The Tigers are scheduled to travel to Warsaw on Thursday night for a Boys only night, with JV starting at 6:00 pm. Stay tuned for weather implications.

The Lady Tigers had their last road conference game against the Lady Cardinals. Green Ridge struggled to take care of the basketball in the first half and unfortunately got into a hole they couldn’t get out of. A late 4th quarter push had them back in it but just ran out of time. Sophia Weis set her career high with 28 points(6 three pointers)Maria Heuman finished with 9 and Mikensey DeVorss scored 5 points.

Basketball District Tournament seeds are out. The Girls are the 7th seed and will play Santa Fe on Saturday, Feb. 19th, at 2:30 pm in Smithton.
The Boys are the 6th seed and will play Sacred Heart on Monday, Feb. 21st, at 7:30 in Smithton.

The Lady Tigers beat the Lady Greyhounds on Friday night for Courtwarming. Maria Heuman was the leading scorer with 21 points and Sophia Weis scored 14.

Boys Basketball finished a busy week with a loss to Windsor Friday night 71-49. The Tigers played hard, but Windsor’s athleticism caused the Tigers issues.
The Tigers venture to Lincoln tonight with a start time of 5:00 pm. JV boys, Varsity Girls, and Varsity Boys will play. Lincoln will be holding their Senior recognition between the JV and Girls contest.
The Boys will be traveling to Warsaw for a Boys only night on Thursday starting at 6:00, and Boys and Girls will finish the regular season at home against Otterville on Friday.
Mrs. Hilt's third graders learned about poetry this week. They were put in to groups and became experts on types of poetry. Then they taught that type to the other students in class.

We are excited that our volleyball players are excelling in the classroom as well as on the court! Congratulations to Kelsey Buxton, Molli Mahalovich, Matti Mergen, and Zakiyah Morse for being awarded Academic All-State for the 2021 Volleyball season. Athlete's must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.6 from their entire career and play in 75% of the current season's varsity matches.
