This summer Melville Wood Works helped GR VIII update the playground with a new GA GA BALL pit. The PTO was gracious enough to purchase the hardware and Melville Woodworks put it together. This is one way GR VIII and its community work together for our kids! Thank you to GR VIII PTO and Matt Melville for their time and energy on this project. I do believe our kids love it!

Green Ridge JH volleyball team played in the Lincoln Tournament today: This team worked hard all day! They won 7 out of 8 sets in pool play which put them in 1st place in our pool. They went on and won both games in tournament play, bringing home the first place trophy!!! We are so proud of their defensive passes, offensive hits, communication on the floor, and all around team work. What a great start to our season! #Lincolntournamentchamps

Varsity soccer lost a hard fought game to St Paul's to wrap up Clinton Cup play. The defense played extremely well and Matteo Rivas was excellent in goal with 24 saves. The Saints held a 1-0 lead at halftime but tacked on a second goal almost 5 minutes into the second half on a PK. Goal number 3 came on a PK with just over 5 minutes left in the game. The last goal came with just under 3 minutes remaining on a loose ball that was poked in. The Tigers return to action Tuesday at Lone Jack.
